THE BARON MARCUS / ANGEL DEVIL MACHINE STORY
At the dawn of 2020, Baron Marcus knew his new album would be finally done and ready to tour within the year. Calls were made, contacts connected, and the tour was planned. Berlin! That would be the starting point of the new Baron Marcus chapter, after ten years of writing, recording, and hard work. Finally it could begin.
Then the unthinkable happened... The world shut down. Anti-pandemic policies world-wide went from weeks of lock-down, to months, to over two years and counting. Everything was lost. The tour, first postponed, was then regretfully (though understandably) cancelled.
But a twist of fate intersected the journey of the Baron. A composer and entertainer, Baron Marcus is also an enthusiastic database programmer who had, over time, begun to explore programming on the most recent computer game development technologies.
Years earlier, prototypes of the Baron's computer game development work caught the attention of one of the worlds foremost UN military peace-keeper instructors. This professor wondered if modern game development technologies could be used to create tactical and strategic peace-keeper training simulations - that would be more agile and less expensive than current military simulation technologies.
After two extended visits to UN Headquarters in New York City, and a dozen demonstrations to officials and top military personnel, Baron Marcus's tactical simulation demonstrations were a great success.
Fast-forward to July 2020, the tragic world-wide pandemic is in full swing and all entertainers are grounded. Baron Marcus, in a conversation with producer Michael Falcore, wonders out loud "If the world has shut down, why can't we create another world in which to tour?"
From that fateful moment, all of his previous game design explorations, simulation prototyping, decades of aesthetic and story ideas, and most importantly, the Baron Marcus ALBUM, came together into a project that will take friends, fans, and strangers alike on an album tour with Baron Marcus through a fantasy parallel universe.
Angel Devil Machine, a Dieslepunk Game series by Baron Marcus, was born.
To kick off the 'tour', a free sample level of the ADM game series is available - one of three scenes from the first episode of the Angel Devil Machine series. It gives a taste of things to come - both with regards to the ADM universe, but also as a look at the living evolution of the rock-video medium itself.

This is a genuine indie game made with love and entirely by Baron Marcus. If you are up for adventure, please support this art, and ENJOY! This isn’t a production made by a large development team, and you’ll see it has its share of bugs and technical problems. Some of these will be addressed over time and some will remain.
MINIMUM HARDWARE NOTE: PC DESKTOP ONLY for now (Mac desktop version coming soon). If you have a dedicated video card (a gaming computer), this Game Novel experience will be optimal, however without a dedicated video card in-game movement will be choppy, and even unplayable. We are learning and optimizing for future episodes to reach as many folks as possible, but this first episode really does require a proper gaming machine. We suggest a minimum i7 chip with 8 gig of Ram and a dedicated video card.
If you do choose to support us and purchase this game, be sure to keep your original downloaded episode - we will be changing past episodes over time (perhaps even retroactively messing with the story! Yeah! ). ;)
Everyone over 18 years of age is welcome to enjoy this Game-Novel experience. This experience does not have warnings in-game about the story, characters, or design. Please know that scenes may include mature content of a sexual, political, violent, economic, religious, and philosophical nature. It explores themes of social-political strife and identity.
